For designs requiring natural wood, but protection from extreme elements are also required we offer an aluminum-clad wood system. Unlike other cladding systems, ours leaves an air space between the wooden frame and the aluminum extrusion, thus allowing an air exchange to eliminate dry rot.  The frames can house glazing thickness up to ballistic rated glass.  This combined with the multi-point locking mechanism can be made to meet the requirements of the Dade County Florida large missile test for houses in hurricane, tornado and other extreme weather situations.
